However, the counselling psychologists on our web portal are not "licensed" clinicians and hence cannot provide a diagnosis. The counselling psychologists on our website are freelancing with their counselling services through our web portal.

The provision of information on the Sukh website does not create a licensed medical professional/patient relationship, between Sukh and the client (i.e you), it is only provided to assist you with receiving mental wellness care from a qualified counselling psychologist.
 

"Sukh" and this website does not provide counselling but connects you to a freelance counsellor who will take online sessions with you on a separate video conferencing platform. In no event shall the website, its owners or Sukh be held liable for any interaction between a client and a counselling psychologist found on this website.

Information found on the website, in our booklets and in any advertisements is thoroughly research-based and not an official address from any medical practitioner. This information supplements any advice given to the client by a Sukh counselling psychologist or an external therapist. 

We hereby expressly clarify that the Information a client may obtain or receive from Sukh and its employees, contractors, partners, sponsors, advertisers, licensors or otherwise on the website is for informational purposes only. We make no guarantees, representations or warranties, whether expressed or implied, with respect to professional qualifications, quality of work, expertise or other information provided on the website. In no event shall we be liable to you or anyone else for any decision made or action taken by you in reliance on such information.

The services provided by Sukh are not intended to be a substitute for getting in touch with emergency healthcare. If the client. (i.e you) are facing a medical emergency (either on your or another person’s behalf), please contact an ambulance service or hospital directly.

By no means is counselling a substitution for medical emergencies or mental health emergencies. In those situations please contact helpline numbers or the relevant hospitals near you to seek medical help if needed.

Sukh does not provide psychiatric care or treatment for severe mental illnesses including but not limited to suicidal thoughts. We suggest you contact a helpline if you are experiencing suicidal thoughts.

 

The website and its services/offerings are limited to residents of India, specifically those who are physically present in India and Indian nationals. International transactions are not accepted on the website. If in case you are living abroad and have availed of our services in the past/used the website to connect to a counselling psychologist or made a payment through other means, you undertake not to hold Sukh liable for any disputes and undertake that you are abiding by the relevant jurisdiction in your country of residence, at the time of availing a service with Sukh or on this website, when connecting to a counselling psychologist through Sukh.

By booking a session with Sukh/availing any of our services/signing up to the website, you understand and undertake not to hold Sukh liable for any severe mental health issues that may be pre-existing prior to your availing our services or have come up since. You also undertake not to hold Sukh liable in the event of self-harm, distress calls, suicide attempts, or suicidal thoughts. The website is not a distress service and the relevant helpline numbers can be found on the website as and when you need to contact them. 

The advice or information provided by counsellors via the website is provided for informational purposes only and cannot be considered a substitute for an examination by a doctor or other mental health professional. You are advised strongly against relying solely on or making decisions based solely on advice provided by any counsellor.

Risks and Benefits:

As the client talks about their concerns which may be problematic or stressful, possible risks for the client may be feelings of discomfort, stress or feeling overwhelmed in the first few sessions. The possible benefits may be improved coping, interpersonal relationships, emotional regulation and increased well-being. However, there is no guarantee for either.

The conversation between the counselling psychologist and the client is kept confidential at all times. However, this confidentiality may be broken in the following scenarios:

• The client poses a threat to self.

• The client poses a threat of harm to someone else.

• The court or any other legal body requests for the information.

• The client requires the information to be shared with someone.

• The counselling psychologist needs to share your case/session notes with a mentor or supervisor only when there is a dire need to do so.

In case of an emergency, the client is requested to reach their nearest hospital at the earliest or contact an emergency helpline as listed on Sukh's website. The counselling psychologist is not entitled to share any information regarding their personal life or any other such details during the sessions.

By booking a session/signing up to the website/filling out a form on the website, you agree to the informed consent terms stated above. 

You understand and agree that all counselling psychologists on this website are providing a service of their own volition and we are merely connecting you to them. Sukh disclaims any and all liability for any consultation and counselling services rendered by a counselling psychologist to you through the Website. You further acknowledge and agree that you take full responsibility for the decision to access an expert through the website and to continue to interact with such individual(s), and that the role of Sukh is strictly limited to providing access to such Counsellors to you.

We also don't take responsibility for text/call exchanges with clients and counselling psychologists out of sessions or on an external platform. 

 

The website takes care of anonymity as the platform does not reveal your personal information to anyone else apart from the admin team and the counselling psychologist in question. The counselling psychologist may discuss your client's case with their supervisory mentors in cases where they need external help, in such a case, you will be informed by them and your consent will be taken. Your session notes remain with the counselling psychologist in a safe note-taking instrument and mechanism whether online or offline. We encourage you to discuss anonymity and privacy with your counselling psychologist prior to beginning regular sessions with them for your personal education and to request any special consideration when it comes to your privacy and anonymity. We at Sukh uphold the privacy of the client and anonymity in high regard and strive to do our best to keep the website secure and to have the sessions in a private online video conferencing space that is just kept between the client and the counsellor.

The website is not a suicide helpline platform. If you are considering or contemplating suicide or feel that you are a danger to yourself or to others, you may discontinue use of the services immediately at your discretion and please notify appropriate police or emergency medical personnel.

You also undertake that by signing up/taking a counselling session/booking a counselling session, you understand that the advice provided by counselling psychologists found on this website is subject to change as and when the sessions take place and Sukh is not to be held liable for any conversations, advice, suggestions of the counselling psychologists you engage with on this website.

Cancellation/Rescheduling/Return Policy:

 

Please inform us 90 minutes in advance before cancelling or rescheduling any session or service found on the website. 

In case you are unable to inform before the. 90-minute mark, you will be charged full price for the session, unless you and your counsellor decide otherwise or it is an emergency.

Please write to admin@sukh.solutions for all rescheduling or product return/refund requests.

By signing up/taking a counselling session/booking a counselling session, you are agreeing to abide by our above-mentioned rescheduling and return or cancellation policy, which is also available on the booking form page and the thank you page after booking any service with us.

By signing up/taking a counselling session/booking a counselling session, you are agreeing to these terms and understand the nuances of participating and receiving a mental health service. When acquiring a counselling service from Sukh you are also stating that you are above 18 years of age. You are also agreeing that you are under no threat/danger while availing of our services and are NOT contemplating suicide or attempting it while taking counselling sessions from our counselling psychologists.

Any clients below the age of 18 have come to the organisation as clients with parental consent if consent isn't present or it is found that you are providing incorrect personal information regarding your age, we reserve the right to refer the client to one of our therapists as a freelancer outside of the organisation or to another counselling psychologist outside Sukh. Sukh is not liable in case any dispute regarding the age of a client is in question since we take their consent in an online bookings form before providing counselling to them and also ask them if they have any objections to receiving counselling from Sukh.
 

All disputes need to be settled in the courts of Gautam Buddh Nagar, Noida, India. The client should indemnify Sukh in case of any discomfort with the counselling psychologists or other disputes, as we are merely a web portal connecting the client to a counselling psychologist online. You can contact admin@sukh.solutions regarding any grievance or dispute for assistance.

The fees per session of all our services on the website can be increased on the website without prior notice and as and when deemed appropriate according to the counsellor or the organisation, to accommodate growing expertise, years of experience, etc. 

Your name/username/email/etc may be visible to other site members if you log in and especially if/when you join a public group.
